Job Summary
QT9 Software is seeking a System Administrator II to provide first and second-level technical support for laptops, desktops, and office devices, ensuring smooth operation of IT systems and services. This role involves administration of Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and other critical infrastructure components, while maintaining security and compliance standards.
- Provide Tier 1 support for laptops, desktops, and office devices.
- Administer Microsoft 365 services, including Azure AD, Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams (voice support and administration).
- Manage Active Directory tasks: user account setup, password resets, termination processes, and permissions/access control for on-prem and cloud repositories.
- Perform FOIA compliance searches as required.
- Track incidents and service requests using the IT ticketing system.
- Administer physical security and access control systems.
- Assist with VMware and Hyper-V cluster support.
- Administer Endpoint Central for patching, package installation, and imaging.
- Troubleshoot TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS issues with strong diagnostic and analytical skills.
- Provide occasional support during evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in IT systems administration.
- Assist with VPN management and support.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with service providers (VOIP, ISP, cellular).
- Support IT asset management, including inventory tracking and reporting.
- Manage digital certificates and related security protocols.
Requirements
- Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience) preferred.
- Experience: 2-5 years in IT support or systems administration.
- Microsoft 365 and Azure AD administration.
- Active Directory and Group Policy management.
- Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS).
- Virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V).
- Endpoint management tools (e.g., Endpoint Central).
- Email security systems (Barracuda preferred).
- Practical knowledge of ITIL framework.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Salary Description
$75,000 - $85,000 per year*Employment eligibility: Applicants must be authorized to work for any U.S. employer. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment Visas.
