QT9 ERP tracks Work-in-Process (WIP) automatically as manufacturing jobs progress through production. When materials are issued to a job, the system debits WIP and credits inventory. Labor and overhead post to WIP as operations complete. When the job finishes, WIP clears to Finished Goods Inventory at actual cost. This real-time WIP tracking gives manufacturers accurate balance sheet values and enables true job profitability analysis by comparing actual costs to standard costs without month-end adjustment entries.
