QT9 BI Tool 3.0: Enhanced Security, Smarter Data Integration and Streamlined Reporting
QT9 Software released major enhancements to its QT9 Business Intelligence (BI) Tool with the launch of Version 3.0 on December 1, 2025. The BI Tool update focuses on improved customer data access, security and usability, helping organizations make smarter, faster decisions through improved analytics and connectivity.

Expanded data source options
The QT9 BI Tool 3.0 now allows users to connect multiple systems to a single BI instance. This means companies can now combine QT9 QMS, QT9 ERP and external data sources for even more unified analytics.
New data source options include:
- Excel uploads
- SQL Server (on premise)
- MySQL (on premise)
- Restful API connections
Improved reporting and dashboards
The BI Tool includes system default dashboards for both QMS and ERP modules, plus standardized reports to help customers start strong. Dashboards can also be tailored to an organization's specific requirements. Each new license includes dedicated onboarding sessions where customers build their first dashboards and tailor the environment to their needs.
Dashboard and reporting enhancements include:
- Automated data refresh
- Redesigned management screens for faster sharing
- A new Quick Access Bar, allowing users to save up to five of their most-used dashboards, reports or queries for continuous one-click navigation.
New BI Tool viewing portal
Organizations can extend analytics access across departments using a new View-Only mode, enabling:
- Shop floor visibility through TVs and shared workstations
- Department-level access controls for sensitive information
- Restrictions on viewing sensitive data
This makes BI insights accessible across the organization while still maintaining data governance.
Stronger security and user management
The QT9 BI Tool now features independent authentication, eliminating the need to log in through QT9 ERP or QT9 QMS. Single Sign-On (SSO) setup is managed directly within the BI Tool.
Other enhanced security features include:
- Ability to enable two-factor authentication
- User Groups for easier role-based access to dashboards and reports
- Simplified user designations
New SQL query builder
Power users now have the ability to design, preview and test custom SQL queries directly in the BI Tool, no external editor required.
